since we can only do 1 add-on in a 12 month span, the post 12 month add-on process would be much smoother if we could import info from an existing policy to the new policy and then be able to make the minor edits such as a change of phone or address or adding another person to the list.

This is a great idea! We actually implemented a feature back in February that allows you to sync a single contract. You could then copy that contract for your add-on.
